Satisfaction and Happiness
What is this thing we all crave for all our life?
"Satisfaction" - why do we never meet satisifed people?
When I was young, I wanted more marks, more love. Then I got my 1 degree and I still wasnt satisfied and wanted another. Then I wanted to earn money to pay back the education expenses. Then wanted money since I wanted to buy a lot of things and live lavishly. So I wanted pay raise. That didnt satisfy and needed more money, more responsibity - got that too.
But, the hunger doesnt die.
Oh yes, by the way, I do think I am fairly satisfied with my life.
I was just narrating how most people live their life amazingly well - they acheive all their goals and still feel unsatisfied themselves. Why is it that way?
Maybe, I will try to answer that since I do feel satisfied most of the times. It is when I realized that for every car that I will own, I would want to own many more cars. For every cool job or work assignment I did or will do, I would want to do many more of those out in the world. For every 100,000$ I will earn, I will want more of those. And then I realized that if I cant be happy and satisfied with 100s of my achievements, then bloody when will I be start being happy and satisfied? And that day (not so back in past) for every small achievement (and ofcourse for the big ones), I start feeling satisfied. That in no way means that my hunger or ambitions have dried or reduced - infact, if anything, they have increased.
But, I constantly feel satisfied too - happy too - and I (try to) remember all of my small and big deeds. And then when I aim for the stars again, I know that when I do get the stars, I will truly enjoy that moment and so, I feel even better.
Maybe, I am different and maybe the ArtOfLiving course has imbibed a lot of this into me - but really, isnt this the way it should be?
Shouldnt we be always happy - because of the 100s of 1000s of things we have - and forget those 1 or 10 things that we somehow missed in life?

You have everything but have forgotten, or don't realize it at the moment. This will sound cliche, but you have your health. Also, it's good to strive for more. Not only does it make you a better person, but it motivates you to make more contributions to society that better the world.
